Today IMS Research has over 90 analysts across three locations: Austin, Texas, USA, Shanghai, China and Wellingborough, UK.
Our continued success, increasing customer base and the diversity of our research products, mean that we are seeking to open a Korea office and are looking for an experienced analyst with management skills to launch our efforts in Korea.
The applicant should have extensive market research experience in the display, LED or PV areas and a desire to cover all three categories as well as help IMS Research become established in Korea.

- At least 3 years experience in the display, LED or PV/solar areas
- Strong English language speaking, reading and writing skills
- Management experience
- Strong business skills
- Marketing, Business or Engineering Degree
The Role
As Korea Office Director and member of the display, LED and PV research teams, this position is a critical one. You will introduce IMS Research to potential customers in Korea, build various partnerships to help Korean and overseas companies solve critical problems and extend your and IMS’s expertise in displays, LEDs and PV. The role involves:
- Establishing IMS Research in Korea
- Establishing reliable data sources at companies in the display, LED and PV supply chains.
- Surveying companies in the display, LED and PV supply chains on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Establishing expertise in the display, LED and PV industries.
- Contributing content in IMS Research’s display, LED and PV reports.
- Present IMS Research expertise to Korea customers, overseas customers and at conferences in Korea and around the world.
Your Profile
The successful applicant requires the following skills and experience
- At least 3 years of applicable industry experience
- Fast learner who can pick up new technologies quickly
- Strong English speaking, reading and writing skills
- Advanced Excel skills with experience of producing spreadsheets, graphs and tables
- Happy to work independently and as part of a team
- Good project management skills
- Good business and management skills
- Experience in establishing offices in Korea for overseas companies a plus
